Gardaí have discovered the body of a man near Naul, in North Co Dublin.
The body was found in a laneway about fifteen minutes walk from Ballyboughal on Friday.
Detectives in Balbriggan found the remains at approximately 10:40am this morning. The body was found in a laneway from Ballyboughal to the Oldtown Road.
A Garda spokesman said: “The scene has been preserved and the offices of the State Pathologists and the Garda Technical Bureau have been notified.”
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have information connected to the incident.
The spokesman said advised anyone who may have witnessed the man’s death or came across the body to contact Balbriggan Garda Station.
The cause of death and whether foul play was invovled will not be known until the state pathologists have an opportunity to inspect the body.
