REVENUE OFFICERS IN Dublin Port have seized a number of puppies and adult dogs. The five puppies and five adult dogs were seized when officers stopped two men who were disembarking a ferry from Holyhead. The men, both Irish nationals aged in their 50s, were driving a van and pulling a horsebox and had no pet passports for the puppies and dogs. The pomeranian and spaniel type dogs and puppies are in the care of the DSPCA, who work in co-operation with their colleague animal welfare organisations, and with Revenue to target and confront the illegal puppy trade.A follow up investigation is now underway.
